The director of the school and owner of Chamak is Sarah Ali, M.S., LPC. She trained at the prestigious Studio Makeup Academy in Hollywood & Westmore Academy of Cosmetic Arts under Oscar award winning artists & Dinair. She has also taken courses at New York School of Aromatic Studies training to learn how to be a natural perfumer and a an aromatherapist along with self teaching the basics of cosmetic chemistry along the way. Sarah has a masters in counseling psychology and is licensed as a psychotherapist and a certified mediator. This multifaceted background and training enables her to provide a supportive, encouraging and inspiring environment for students. As an instructor she teaches not just makeup artistry, how to make handcrafted natural cosmetics and create a unique brand for yourself, but coaches and guides students on how to establish their career. Some students have visited after class is over for further mentoring and to do an internship with the studio. Sarah has worked in every makeup industry setting including films, T.V. commercials, editorial and fashion shows. Sarah began learning makeup as an artist with Chanel, M.A.C. & Yves Saint Laurent. For the brief run of CK Beauty in Texas, she was selected as the regional artist for SW Texas. She enjoys, most of all, teaching and educating clients and students on makeup techniques and feeling beautiful inside & out. She opened The Transformation Studio: a world inspired beauty & wellness center in 2009. a two story space which housed her makeup artistry services, a spa and a separate area for the makeup courses which she began in 2010.

 

Also in 2010, she began to develop a beauty line where she handcrafted her own recipes and formulations for Chamak Cosmetics  which includes makeup, skin care, body care, hair care and custom fragrance which is made fresh in the shop. Based on demand, in 2015 Sarah expanded, opening a stand alone studio which houses her beauty line, gourmet line and makeup courses and The Transformation Studio is primarily focused on wellness.
